We are trying to make the Congress as kid-friendly as possible. Children twelve and under don't have to pay the registration fee, though they have to pay the meal service fee if they are going to eat in the cafeteria.
Kids and the meal plan:
- Children 9 years old or more need to pay the whole price for the meal plan.
- Children from 3 to 8 years old pay half-price (so $25 for the meal plan, $10 for the banquet).
- Children less than 3 years old don't need to pay.
Please indicate whether you will be bringing kids, how many, and what their ages are, and whether they speak Esperanto or not. We will be planning fun activities for the kids when we have a better idea how many may be coming.
For kids who do not wish to attend the conference all of the time, we have arranged a separate activity for up to 4 kids. Mary Christine Reed, the wife of one of the Esperanto Club of Austin's members, has a minivan and will take up to 4 kids of any ages to an excellent local park and entertain them during the afternoon of Saturday, June 11. She is a beginning Esperantist and native English speaker.
